Clothes

This is from Monsoon, £40, goes up to a 22. Would look nice with leggings underneath. No, you’re not too fat for leggings. No, you don’t have to wear a tent - something like this is much more flattering.

This is also from Monsoon, £85, goes up to size 22:

Soldiering on in the teeth of no weight falling off in any discernible way for well over a week.  Grr.

I am giving up the squirrel nuts.

I have nothing else I can give up.  Sob.

Taking buckets of exercise - haven’t missed a day on my bike even in the pouring rain

Keep going to lovely restaurants and eating the dullest food: plain cod with spinach over and over! But it is making my home cooking very inventive.  We ate boiled chicken with Béarnaise sauce this weekend - my husband said it was wonderful the way it made you really taste the chicken in a way that roast doesn’t.  Have made delicious tuna salads for my pack lunches with curried mayonnaise, fennel and celery.  Have made spinach and ricotta soufflés twice to huge applause.   Pheasant with sour cream - yum.

At least I ordered the fat calf boots of the Duoboots website last night - they might cheer me up. If they are nice, I’ll order a second pair - I rather fancy the purple suede.

not much movement…

January 22nd, 2007 by Jasmine

I am sticking with it but a bit dispirited  - not much movement on weight this last week.

I have been slavishly following the diet.  Although had two difficult things last week - had to go for a drink with someone after work, and found that it’s the one thing that’s impossible.  I just couldn’t drink  vodka on an empty stomach so I had a glass and a half of rose.  Then on Saturday went to the first restaurant I’ve been to where almost everything is sullied with something I couldn’t eat - it was Eyre  Bros - fantastic and delicious Spanish food.  Had beetroot and goats cheese for the first course, (how bad is beetroot?) then the best rabbit I have ever had, and made them hold the mashed potato - but I could taste the onions and the oloroso sherry so am sure that wasn’t all right either.

Eating an AWFUL lot of meat.

My trainer, Veronica, at gym in seventh heaven - she is only person who notices different I look, but she REALLY does.  It’s quite changed her attitude to me and we are getting on so much better and I went three times this week.

Questions : how many nuts is ok as a snack and are there some nuts that are forbidden and some that are better?

I am worried my portions are too big.  Don’t know how to judge this.
